11/2/2018 3 Comments Guest Blogger.... Why Glamping?I am so happy to have a guest blogger on N.GA Glamping today! She has amazing thoughts and perspectives on the perks of glamping and why it's perfect for families. Enjoy your read.I’ve done a bit of camping in my adult life. Before having kids my husband and I would fill our backpacks with our freeze dried meals, granola bars and tuna packs and hit the trail. We weren’t doing anything too extreme, but we always tried to pitch our tents as far away from roads and cars as our feet could carry us. We loved every second of it- the quiet, the forced minimalism, the challenge, the million dollar views.
Just recently, we took our two kiddos (6 years and 4 months old) to Scotland for three nights. Scotland is notorious for having unpredictable weather. Rather than let this worry us or stop us from getting out there, we booked a camping pod several months in advance that has heating and electricity. This eliminates having to worry about the weather and ensures warm sleep and warm food for everyone.
A few days before our scheduled trip the weather forecast looked pretty miserable and we all woke up with colds, but because we were glamping we were able to stick with our plans. We ended up having beautiful crisp weather, perfect for day hiking and returning to a warm, cozy pod at the end of the day. It ended up being one of our favourite camping trips and very memorable as it was our little one's first! So, whether you are a novice camper looking to experience nature or an experienced camper that needs an easier way into the woods, I highly recommend putting glamping on your weekend adventure spectrum. Living across the pond, we aren’t able to book with N.GA Glamping, but YOU SHOULD! Rebekah and Wesley love their little piece of the earth in Ellijay and they will take care of all the details so you can relax and explore it. Written by Ashley C.
